The Art of the Island Hop: A Mauritian Journey with Beachcomber

Mauritius is often defined by its azure coastline, but to truly grasp its soul, a traveler must experience its contrasts.

Rather than settling into a single resort, hopping across Mauritius with Beachcomber Hotels encourages movement. By shifting between properties, you experience the island’s changing rhythms. From the rugged, wind swept beauty of the south to the polished, calm exclusivity of the north. This "hotel hopping" approach prevents a trip from feeling static, allowing the traveler to see Mauritius as an authentic experience rather than a single destination.

A Spring Escape to Twente: Easter at Parkhotel De Wiemsel

There’s something special about returning to a place that feels familiar, almost like it’s part of you. For me, Twente has always had that quiet magic. The soft landscapes, the slower pace, the warmth of the people. It feels grounded, real, and deeply Dutch in the best way.

This Easter, I found myself back in the charming town of Ootmarsum, staying at the beautiful Parkhotel De Wiemsel. A place that perfectly captures that same feeling: calm, understated luxury, surrounded by nature.

Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore: Riverside Serenity in the City

By the river yet close to the city’s pulse, @GrandCopthorneWaterfront offers a stay in Singapore that feels both energising and serene.

Our room was spacious and beautifully designed, with floor-to-ceiling views that made the skyline part of the experience. The welcome arrangements added a thoughtful touch from the start, and the pool area became our quiet escape between city explorations. In the Executive Lounge, evenings unfold slowly — crafted cocktails, soft light, and a panorama stretching along the river all the way toward the sea.

What makes the stay even more compelling is the hotel’s diverse dining scene — with several restaurants offering a range of culinary experiences under one roof, making it easy to transition from relaxed afternoons to vibrant dinners. We tried the @SanSara.SG (have the chicken masala - I never tasted chicken like this before!) as well as the Lobby Lounge with the most delicious afternoon tea as well as tasty Japanese bites at Itzakaya nights!
